The wishlist is an area where we keep track of user requests for improvement to the JM150/250. We're hoping to make this a Q&A format where we give other uses the opportunity to comment on the requests.

Acoustic Simulator.  I sure would like an OS Upgrade for my JM-150 for that capability -- along with the long, long promised Mesa Boogie Gain model bug fix

A stereo effects loop after the amplifiers or a second S-DISC processor so that I can use the larger effects along with eq's, delays etc.
Midi control of the input level. There are times when I run it at twelve o'clock when I'm using heavier distortions, and then at three o'clock when I'm using the lighter distortions and cleans for more punch.
A compressor on the input so I don't have to use one of the effects slots for it.
The ability to connect effect modules in parallel or series on the fly as opposed to preset configurations.

effects loop either before or in front of the amp modeling
a revamped wah-wah with control over the contour and depth of the eq shape (It would also be nice to have this switchable between pre and post amp emulation since their is so much sound contrast between the two placements with other setups I've used).
actual high and low-pass filters in the eq effects (a high pass filter will help with the Brian May tone)
a uni-vibe effect
more variation in the fuzz distortions, maybe some control over the even/odd harmonics (definitely give us Adrian Belew's custom foxx-tone emulation). Would it also be possible for the fuzz to be more widely available with different amp types? (Some of these might put you up against hardware limitations)
more sampling effects. I have a sampling delay floor pedal that gives me the 1983 Merman I Should Turn To Be underwater propeller sounds, and I would love to find something similar in this amp...
A square-wave LFO available to the tremelo effects would also be nice. Get that dream pop strobe guitar effect...

dynamic LFO triggering (for the dedicated LFOs and for all LFO modulation FX)
Tapit-function for LFOs and modulation FX (there should be a multiplication factor, like 'the LFO pulsates 2/3/4/6/8 times faster than I tap)
real gain control (gain 0.0 = silence)
amp modelling bypass function (S-DISC FX only mode)
a more 'Brian Mayish' Vox model
a Rockman-like solid state clean model
a S-DISC digital distortion (especially for strange FX as reverb-pre-distortion)

1. Output volume (this is a PROBLEM) This is by far the most timid amp I have ever had. All my previous amps (including 50 watters) would have blown the JM250 away (volume wise) hands down. I usually have my amp miked at gigs, but I am having serious problems when performing live with just the backline. There's 6 of us in my band with two guitars and a keyboard player and we play rock covers. I wouldn't say we play extremely loud. The JM250 is supposed to deliver 125 watts per channel (at 4 ohms, which is my situation). I've checked all volume parameters and everything is at 100% with the amp level encoder at 9.0 or higher. What's wrong here?? Any comments from you people at Johnson??
2. Signal chain flexibility (this is a wish) The first part of the chain is fixed at Wah - Ext Loop - Tube (with EQ) - Noise Gate. After this, you can kick in effects of your own choice. I would like to have 1 assignable effects position in FRONT of the Tube preamp. This is where I would like to place stuff like a compressor (when emulating a compressor stomp box). Also, instead of having an Overdrive (Distortion, Fuzz etc.) amp, it would be nice to have these as effects. I remember having my Marshall tuned in on a heavily distorted sound and then kicking in my Big Muff to go mayhem.

I'd really like to see a wah function that you don't have to turn on and off via an effects button. The ability to just step on the wah and have it there and then release it and it's gone would be a huge benefit to me. Larry Stanos: You CAN turn the wah on and off with an expression pedal as well as control the wah level with the same pedal. The following example assumes you want the wah disabled when the toe is down.

On the Wah pedal screen: Assign parameter 1 (byp/on) to your pedal of choice.
  Set Min=On
  Set Max=Bypass
Assign parameter 2 (wah level) to the same pedal.
  Set Min=desired minimum wah
Set Max=a higher than desired maximum wah because you lose half your pedal range with the on/off function above. Choose Heel Heavy for parameter #3 to regain some of the range you lost with the on/off functionality.
